Pnuemonia is NO FUN

Elizabeth has been sick for seven days now. I got the first call from her school last Tuesday that we was running a fever and not eating. I stayed home with her that Wednesday thinking a little TLC would solve the problem. Early early Thursday morning her fever spiked to 104.6 and she was inconsoloable, breathing rapidly, and coughing really bad. We were at the doctor first thing, and spent the day getting lots of test done and x-rays. While we are not thrilled about Pneumonia and RSV, we are thankful it is not something more serious. We went for a follow up visit today, and she is on the mend. It is still not too pleasant around here, but much improved from the baby she was Thursday. Starting tomorrow she only has to have breathing treatments in the morning and before bed (much better for mommy from the every four hours it has been since Thursday night). She is staying under her Dr.'s care and hopefully next Wednesday we will be given to all clear to resume life as normal! Thanks for all the prayers, thoughts, and call! We are so lucky to have such great family and friends.
She sometimes falls asleep during her treatments...sometimes it involves lots of screaming, wriggling, and tears (from everyone). It is crazy to expect an 11 month old to hold still for 15 minutes with a mask on their face!

We are hopeful our little Elizabug will be back to this happy girl real soon!
