"The Switgers" on Onslow Beach

We wrapped up summer with a getaway to Onslow Beach with some of our favorite people, The Switzers.  I am not sure who had the most fun...the kids or the parents.  We spent our days on the beach, our evenings playing, eating, having dance parties, and watching movies and football.  No one got enough sleep, but everyone had plenty of fun!  Here are some pictures from our vacay!  We can't wait until next year to do it again!

We celebrated with cupcakes and an early birthday celebration for this sweet girl.  I can't believe Carolina is almost 2!

 Of course Elizabeth had a BLAST on the beach.  She is getting so brave, which honestly scares this Momma.  She was jumping over waves, diving under them, and swam a lot out "deep" with her Daddy.

 This was our boardwalk that took us to "our" beach.  Since Onslow Beach is part of Camp Lejeune, it is only available to military families and friends.  The beach really felt like it was just ours!

 We played in the sands a lot, and founds LOTS of shark teeth.

 The last night we walked down to an awesome playground not far from our house...

 everyone had a great time,

 even the grown ups. 

The vacation was a huge success.  We have our notes on what we can do better next year in terms of planning and supplies.  After a couple nights of solid 8+ hours of sleep, everyone at our house was recovered.  We love the Switzers, and can't wait until the next Switgers Vacay!!
